Initial Assessment
£85
60-90 minutes

This session will involve taking an in-depth history of your dog's condition, their lifestyle, general health and what your goals for them are. This is followed by an expert objective assessment including video-capture movement analysis, functional fitness assessment, goniometry and a muscle balance and symmetry evaluation as well as a hands on assessment. The findings will be fully discussed with you and the available treatment options explained. A bespoke treatment plan is then formulated which may include LASER, electrotherapy, joint mobilisations, soft tissue treatments and a personalised exercise plan.

A written report of findings will be completed after this session and sent to both you and your vet to keep all parties up to date.

Follow Up Session
£70
60 minutes

Follow up sessions may be required to provide ongoing care depending on the findings of your initial assessment. Each follow up begins with a re-assessment allowing your  treatment plan to evolve as your dog's condition improves. Appropriate treatment modalities will then be selected and administered to your dog. Your exercise program will also be reviewed and adjusted accordingly to ensure strength and movement gains continue to be made. Other home management advice may also be given to ensure maximum treatment carry over from session to session.

Fitness Assessment
£40 (plus mileage*)
45 minutes

Sporting and working dogs are highly driven and will work through pain or discomfort making spotting injury or dysfunction a challenge for their handler. Periodic fitness assessments will allow you to train and compete with your dog confident in the knowledge that they are fit and able to perform at the top of their game. 

Fitness assessments consists of  performance evaluation (this can be in person e.g. at a training session or from video footage), video analysis, a hands-on musculoskeletal assessment and a 10-point functional strength assessment. 

The outcome of these assessments can then be used to formulate a targeted fitness program. You will also receive and individualised warm-up and cool down plan for your dog. 

 

*** Please note Fitness Assessments do not require veterinary consent as no treatment is provided during these sessions. If any injury or issue is identified you will be directed to consult with your vet. If physiotherapy treatment is appropriate a consent form must be completed***
